I'm 24 years old now.....

For me birthdays are better than Christmas
because its just your day, not everyone elses
too. So Brandon always out does himself and
tries to make it a big celebration for me. And
this year, was awesome. I must say he went
above and beyond.

It started out on Monday a couple of days
before my birthday, Brandon surprised me
with horseback riding. I haven't ridden horses
in years, so It was so much fun.
We to Midway and went up the mountain on
some guy's property. He was really nice and showed
us a bunch of cool things.

On the way back I got to run the horse which
was so much fun, but the next day wasn't
so much fun because I was so saddle sore. But
thats just fine with me because it was awesome.

Then Thursday we celebrated my b-day at
work. Brandie brought a cake and presents.

Kinda a long story, but I love this movie.

Friday Brandon had to work, so I went
to SLC to help my dad work on my grandparents
roof. My dad almost sliced his finger off, but
refused to go to the hospital. So now he has
a great big gash in his finger, but its too late
to get stiches or anything.
Saturday, Brandon surprised me and took me
to SLC to the Zoo. Take a close look at the giraffe.
He is fully smiling. Its awesome.

We went to the bird show. They had all different
birds and chicks that would run across the back
of the stage at random and choreographed times.
It was funny.

LOL!!!!

I think this is the elephant that is pregnant.

For my birthday present, him, my parents and his
parents went in on a Wii with Wii Fit. Brandon found
a really good deal for all of it on KSL for $300. Brand new.
It was a great birthday, probably one of the best that I have had.

New TOY!!
So Brandon and I got a new toy to play on.
It was aquired through negotiations, but in the end
I'm glad we got it.

Lovely hair I know

Brandon having fun. I have asked him to please
wear a helment, but as you can see, that hasn't
quite happened.

It is good for the dogs too because they run beside
it and get some energy used up. I will have to say that I am excited
to take it camping and go play in the hills with it. I don't think
I will be driving it much because Brandon is
too scared that I will turn to fast and roll it or wreck.
I had to get a big lecture before I road it
that 3 wheelers are much different than 4 wheelers and
don't turn fast, and blah blah blah. But I rode it without
incident so we are good to go. Ha Ha

Brandon and I were able to get away for a week
to go to my favorite place in the world, Oregon.
The drive is awful, but we couldn't fly because they
won't fly the dogs and its way to expensive even if
they would. But the drive was worth it, because Oregon
is the best place in my opinion to go to on vacation.

MyMy wanted to be upfront with us so bad
and when we wouldn't let her she got as close
she could. I don't know how she could breathe but
she didn't move for hours.

Our first day there Brutus and MyMy were sniffing
everything in the house.

Just the babes having fun at the beach

Brutus had so much fun at the beach. He was running
everywhere. Every morning I would take them for
a run and he would go off and explore then have
to sprint to catch up. It was the most he's ever ran
in his life.

This is hole in the rock. When the tide goes out
you can go and explore all of the starfish and stuff.
Chrissy and I always wanted to go through the hole
when the tide goes out but we haven't made it
through yet.

Every time we go up to the beach we see something
different; whether its crabs, seals, whatever. This time
it was jellyfish and they were huge. Some were almost
two feet tall and went up in kind of a volcano shape.

About two and a half miles from the house is Hug
Rock. It use to be used as a road in the early 1900's
but now is just a rock that you can climb around on.

After playing on hug rock we had to go back,
but the tide had come in so we got soaked trying
to get back home.

After we got home the babes were finally tuckered
and passed out on the couch.

One of the days we were there we went to Tillamook
Cheese Factory and got some of their delicious ice cream
and watched the workers make and package the cheese.

Mo's is one of our staple restuaraunts that we have to
go to while we are there. Its right on the beach and
only a quarter mile walk from the house.

Our last day there we went to Haystack Rock.
Brandon has been to Oregon three times but never got
to expirence Haystack. After we explored haystack we
went to go feed the birds. And evidently Chrissy, MarKey, Marianne
and I have killed a bunch of birds because Haystack security
came up to me and told me that I was killing the birds by feeding
them and now they would have to go to a bird sanctuary to
learn how to get their own food in the wild. K, there are thousands
of segulls in Oregon, we have been feeding them for years and
the population doesn't seem to have dwindled any.
So in my opionion Haystack Security can chill.
It was an awesome, relaxing, much wanted trip. I love going to
Oregon and can't wait to go back.

Hey All,

Brandon and I had a really fun weekend thanks to Holly
and Ryan. Holly coached a little league team for basketball
and as a thank you she was given tickets to a jazz game.
Unfortunately Holly was advised to not travel because she is
so close to her due date, so Issac came along instead.
We went to the Jazz v. Phoenix Suns game which turned out
to a way exciting, with the Jazz going into overtime and winning.

After the game they stayed the night and went
to church with us the next day. It was a great weekend.
Thanks Ryan and Holly!!!

Cambo's b-day party
I must say my nephew is one spoiled little
boy. I think he made out with enough toys
to last him a lifetime, but he's so dang cute so he deserves it.

Jimmy and Monica came with Matty and baby Lucas

As well and Grandma Pat and Grandpa Sam and
Julie

I wish I had a pic of Cambo's cake. (You'll have to jump
over to La's blog to see it. But it was soo cool. ) It was so good
to get to see everybody; that has to be one of my favorite
parts of celebrating birthdays, getting to just hang out and
have a great time.

Hello Hello Hello

So we just got back from Cabo and it was so warm and sunny there I'm going with a Spring background because I'm done with winter. I'm ready for sun and 90 degree weather. Cabo was so amazing!!! It was fun to go and relax and sit out on the beach. One of my favorite things was morning breakfast out on the balcony, looking out over the ocean.

The beach was a great place to get to go and relax and get
a nice tan. Too bad I didn't listen to Brandon and put on sunscreen
so now my legs, arms, chest, and nose are peeling. lol.

We loved going for walks on the beach

On our third night there. The resturaunt at the hotel
had their fiesta night, which had a big buffet, with
dancing, a little comedy part with volutneers that had to go up
and do funny things. Last time we went to Cabo, Brandon was volunteered
and got to shake his butt for everybody.

Kay this next picture of the pelican I have to explain.
The guy in the background in the striped shirt, the pelican was
following him around everywhere he went. First the guy was on the
beach and the pelican followed him there. Then he went up the resturaunt
and the pelican followed him there. It was so funny.
He even said, "The dang thing keeps chasing me." So he went and
hid behind a post. After the pelican was done chasing the guy
he headed off toward the kitchen and the employees
had to chase it out. Hilarious

One thing that was cool to go on was the whale watching
adventure. We went on a pirate ship that had a little show and
breakfast while we headed out the area where the whales were.
The whales are only there for a couple of months
and it was sooooo neat to see them jump out of the water. We
also learned that the whales do that for three reasons.
1- to see where they are in the area
2- to get the barnicales off of their bodies
3- the males do it to show off if they are mating
Here is the famous arch and lovers beach. They call it
that because the tides and waves coming onto the beach are
not bad at all, but on the other side of the rock is divorce
beach. They call it that because the tides and waves crash onto
that side beach reallyhard.

We also spent a couple days in San Jose Del Cabo which
was fun. I was fullu into this ceramic platewear
and serving dishes and bought way too much.

There was a cigar shop right next door to the ceramic
store that had my name.
-with an extra s, but who cares.

My hubby dowing my Coca-cola Light because
I wanted to go shopping more.

There was a tour bus with a bunch of elderly
people on it, and we asked a guy to take a pic of us
but he looked through the hole in the camera instead
of the screen and accidently got his finger in the pic.
Old people crack me up with how they do things. lol!!!!

Here is the municipal building for San Jose. It was so
beautiful inside.

The trip was such a blast and we can't wait to go
again!!!

Okay, okay, okay. I get the laziest blogger award. But really in my defense nothing
exciting has happened. We are going to Cabo next Saturday though. When
I get home there will be plenty of blog worthy material to post. So I will make sure I post it.

Brandon went to Pennsylvannia at the beginning of the month to drive back home with his friend Sam who was home visiting family over the holidays. It was suppose to be a few day trip, but due to freezing rain back east, it took them a week to get home.

Then he ventured to Vegas for a national construction convention for his job.

This is their pool at the hotel.

He climed up onto some statue and is hanging onto
the goat of the guy.
