Brandon's Surprise Birthday PARTY!!

After 3 weeks of preparation and stressing Nov
14th finally came. I decided to throw Brandon
a surprise birthday party for his 28th birthday.
I didn't realize how hard it would be. Keeping
everything under wraps and in the meantime
still going around like crazy trying to prepare.
Brandon started getting frustrated with me when
I kept telling him he couldn't do what he wanted
to on his birthday with no explanation. It was worth
it though. Everyone started arriving around 5 and I put
them all to work with doing the last minute things.
Then about 15 minutes before I was expecting
Brandon to arrive home I got a phone call from
him saying he had just gotten rear-ended
and our jeep - that we just bought - was totaled. So needless
to say I was really concerned what was going to happen.
But he was completely surprised, and the night was a blast.
Nearly 30 people came and showed their support for him.
He was so greatful and said it was one of the
best birthdays he has ever had.

Halloween 5k Run

Brandon and I ran a Halloween 5k
run with the dogs last weekend. It was
so much fun. American Fork puts it on and
they set it up so you have to run through the
cemetary and its at night. It was a blast and the
dogs had an awesome time.

Brutus only stopped twice. His favorite trick
is to just kill over mid run and refuse to go any further.
But we just gave him a little boost on the
shocker, nothing painful, just a little boost and he
was back up and running again. My My has her
perfect pace that she keeps the entire run.

Can I just say how hot my hubby looks in a beenie.

I ended up wearing My-My's crown and Brandon
wore Brutus's ears for the run because the kept
trying to take them off mid-stride. It was a blast.

VeGaS BaBy!!

I recently ran the Vegas Ragar Relay Race. It was
so much fun!!! Its a 24 hour no sleep adreneline rush.
There are 12 runners in the race and the 12 are broken
up into two vans with 6 in each. This is my team. They
were soo much fun to run with.
This picture is right before my first leg, which was
5.8 miles with a hill that I nicknamed "Splash Mountain"
because on the drive in we went down the hill and it
looked like we were going to drop off into the abyss,
and I got to have the pleasure of running up it.

Me, Gina, Rinda, Kevin, Ryan, Mark

Gina's sister Rinda, in the black shorts and white hat,
got to run the first night leg. We got to wear these
sexy reflector vests. And as you can tell she's so excited.

Me, Gina, and Rinda showering at the IHOP
we ate breakfast at before our last legs.
We made it!!!! Kevin, the guy with orange shorts
next to me, has a stress fracture and ran like no other,
Gina has Planters Fasciitis in her feet and still
kicked butt, and Ryan was way sick for weeks
before the race, had one of the hardest runs and
did awesome!! Mark, ran all of his times at a 6:40 a
min mile, need I say amazing!!
I was injury free, but was early on all my expected
times so I was happy with that.
So much fun!!! Thanks Tami and Mike for letting
us stay with you after the race, and Ryan and Kevin
for inviting me to run with your team!!

My Lastest Project
So I decided to get crafty and redo
my dining room table and chairs. I really
like it until I put the clear coat on and now
I think it looks kinda funny, but still better than
they were.
There is a total of 6 chairs and a leaf the extend
the table. Funny thing, I forgot there was a leaf,
got everything painted started sanding, and realized
there was one. Then I couldn't find where I put the
leaf for a good two hours. I haven't decided what
type of seats that I want to do. Like stripes or some
sort of plad print. Any ideas?

Derby Time!!

Last weekend we went to the Wasatch
Derby. It was so much fun to watch. I
don't know how they do it, some of the
cars were close enough and you could
see when they got hit how the drivers head
would just whip forwards and backwards so
hard. I'd hate to be them the next day, more so
the next few weeks.

Our New Purchase!!!

Brandon sold his truck a few months ago and we
have been looking for a cheaper, non diesel vehicle
to buy. I love jeeps, they can pull stuff like the boat
or our camper but they aren't this huge monsterous
vehicles that I hate driving.

I'm 24 years old now.....

For me birthdays are better than Christmas
because its just your day, not everyone elses
too. So Brandon always out does himself and
tries to make it a big celebration for me. And
this year, was awesome. I must say he went
above and beyond.

It started out on Monday a couple of days
before my birthday, Brandon surprised me
with horseback riding. I haven't ridden horses
in years, so It was so much fun.
We to Midway and went up the mountain on
some guy's property. He was really nice and showed
us a bunch of cool things.

On the way back I got to run the horse which
was so much fun, but the next day wasn't
so much fun because I was so saddle sore. But
thats just fine with me because it was awesome.

Then Thursday we celebrated my b-day at
work. Brandie brought a cake and presents.

Kinda a long story, but I love this movie.

Friday Brandon had to work, so I went
to SLC to help my dad work on my grandparents
roof. My dad almost sliced his finger off, but
refused to go to the hospital. So now he has
a great big gash in his finger, but its too late
to get stiches or anything.
Saturday, Brandon surprised me and took me
to SLC to the Zoo. Take a close look at the giraffe.
He is fully smiling. Its awesome.

We went to the bird show. They had all different
birds and chicks that would run across the back
of the stage at random and choreographed times.
It was funny.

LOL!!!!

I think this is the elephant that is pregnant.

For my birthday present, him, my parents and his
parents went in on a Wii with Wii Fit. Brandon found
a really good deal for all of it on KSL for $300. Brand new.
It was a great birthday, probably one of the best that I have had.

New TOY!!
So Brandon and I got a new toy to play on.
It was aquired through negotiations, but in the end
I'm glad we got it.

Lovely hair I know

Brandon having fun. I have asked him to please
wear a helment, but as you can see, that hasn't
quite happened.

It is good for the dogs too because they run beside
it and get some energy used up. I will have to say that I am excited
to take it camping and go play in the hills with it. I don't think
I will be driving it much because Brandon is
too scared that I will turn to fast and roll it or wreck.
I had to get a big lecture before I road it
that 3 wheelers are much different than 4 wheelers and
don't turn fast, and blah blah blah. But I rode it without
incident so we are good to go. Ha Ha

Brandon and I were able to get away for a week
to go to my favorite place in the world, Oregon.
The drive is awful, but we couldn't fly because they
won't fly the dogs and its way to expensive even if
they would. But the drive was worth it, because Oregon
is the best place in my opinion to go to on vacation.

MyMy wanted to be upfront with us so bad
and when we wouldn't let her she got as close
she could. I don't know how she could breathe but
she didn't move for hours.

Our first day there Brutus and MyMy were sniffing
everything in the house.

Just the babes having fun at the beach

Brutus had so much fun at the beach. He was running
everywhere. Every morning I would take them for
a run and he would go off and explore then have
to sprint to catch up. It was the most he's ever ran
in his life.

This is hole in the rock. When the tide goes out
you can go and explore all of the starfish and stuff.
Chrissy and I always wanted to go through the hole
when the tide goes out but we haven't made it
through yet.

Every time we go up to the beach we see something
different; whether its crabs, seals, whatever. This time
it was jellyfish and they were huge. Some were almost
two feet tall and went up in kind of a volcano shape.

About two and a half miles from the house is Hug
Rock. It use to be used as a road in the early 1900's
but now is just a rock that you can climb around on.

After playing on hug rock we had to go back,
but the tide had come in so we got soaked trying
to get back home.

After we got home the babes were finally tuckered
and passed out on the couch.

One of the days we were there we went to Tillamook
Cheese Factory and got some of their delicious ice cream
and watched the workers make and package the cheese.

Mo's is one of our staple restuaraunts that we have to
go to while we are there. Its right on the beach and
only a quarter mile walk from the house.

Our last day there we went to Haystack Rock.
Brandon has been to Oregon three times but never got
to expirence Haystack. After we explored haystack we
went to go feed the birds. And evidently Chrissy, MarKey, Marianne
and I have killed a bunch of birds because Haystack security
came up to me and told me that I was killing the birds by feeding
them and now they would have to go to a bird sanctuary to
learn how to get their own food in the wild. K, there are thousands
of segulls in Oregon, we have been feeding them for years and
the population doesn't seem to have dwindled any.
So in my opionion Haystack Security can chill.
It was an awesome, relaxing, much wanted trip. I love going to
Oregon and can't wait to go back.
