Brandon and I were able to get away for a week
to go to my favorite place in the world, Oregon.
The drive is awful, but we couldn't fly because they
won't fly the dogs and its way to expensive even if
they would. But the drive was worth it, because Oregon
is the best place in my opinion to go to on vacation.

MyMy wanted to be upfront with us so bad
and when we wouldn't let her she got as close
she could. I don't know how she could breathe but
she didn't move for hours.

Our first day there Brutus and MyMy were sniffing
everything in the house.

Just the babes having fun at the beach

Brutus had so much fun at the beach. He was running
everywhere. Every morning I would take them for
a run and he would go off and explore then have
to sprint to catch up. It was the most he's ever ran
in his life.

This is hole in the rock. When the tide goes out
you can go and explore all of the starfish and stuff.
Chrissy and I always wanted to go through the hole
when the tide goes out but we haven't made it
through yet.

Every time we go up to the beach we see something
different; whether its crabs, seals, whatever. This time
it was jellyfish and they were huge. Some were almost
two feet tall and went up in kind of a volcano shape.

About two and a half miles from the house is Hug
Rock. It use to be used as a road in the early 1900's
but now is just a rock that you can climb around on.

After playing on hug rock we had to go back,
but the tide had come in so we got soaked trying
to get back home.

After we got home the babes were finally tuckered
and passed out on the couch.

One of the days we were there we went to Tillamook
Cheese Factory and got some of their delicious ice cream
and watched the workers make and package the cheese.

Mo's is one of our staple restuaraunts that we have to
go to while we are there. Its right on the beach and
only a quarter mile walk from the house.

Our last day there we went to Haystack Rock.
Brandon has been to Oregon three times but never got
to expirence Haystack. After we explored haystack we
went to go feed the birds. And evidently Chrissy, MarKey, Marianne
and I have killed a bunch of birds because Haystack security
came up to me and told me that I was killing the birds by feeding
them and now they would have to go to a bird sanctuary to
learn how to get their own food in the wild. K, there are thousands
of segulls in Oregon, we have been feeding them for years and
the population doesn't seem to have dwindled any.
So in my opionion Haystack Security can chill.
It was an awesome, relaxing, much wanted trip. I love going to
Oregon and can't wait to go back.

Oh, how I love that place as well! It just brings back so many good memories. I am glad that you guys had such a great time and I would kill for some Tillamook ice cream. You didn't tell me about the birds, but it is freaking stupid if you ask me! Cute pics!

That looks like so much fun. I have to agree, when your family let us stay in your beach house a couple of years ago, it was one of the best vacations ever! So beautiful. And I totally love the huckleberry ice cream at Tillamook!

Sorry you got in trouble for us killing off the birds years ago!!!! I am sure the seagull populations hasn't really suffered, but all those tree huggers must think differently!!! I want to take my family up there. I am always talking about how awesome it is and how many awesome memories we had up there! I am glad you had a safe trip!

Circle of life, they have to die somehow. I'm glad you had fun. Sorry we can't get our act together to make a group trip out there. It would be fun.

That looks so fun, I always loved going to Oregon! I am hoping to take Lane there sometime this summer since he has never been and we are only about a 7 hour drive from the coast. Looks like you had a blast, miss you!
